This limited-edition Fender Custom Shop ‘50s Telecaster Thinline is an ingenious “mashup” of vintage design elements stretching from the early 1950s all the way to the late 1960s, topped off with modern playability.
Featuring a handwound Custom Shop Texas Special Telecaster bridge pickup and handwound Broadcaster pickup in the neck position, this exquisite instrument sounds as great as it looks!
The Custom Shop has selected the very finest materials and features in order to produce this eye-catching Telecaster: Its lightweight, hollowed out two-piece select ash body sports a classy aged Lake Placid Blue paint job, capped with a Journeyman reliced lacquer finish, resulting in an instrument that is as resonant as it is aesthetically pleasing. The tinted riftsawn maple neck features a ‘57 “soft V” profile, bone nut, twenty-one 6105 frets and a modern 9.5” radius. This Telecaster packs plenty of twang, but with an added light, airy quality, thanks to its Thinline design.
