The SE Silver Sky is a familiar take on the original Silver Sky design, first introduced in collaboration with John Mayer in 2018. Built as a dependable, versatile instrument, this guitar delivers impressive tone and comfortable playability in four eye-catching finishes, blending classic style with modern performance.
Construction begins with a poplar body paired with a bolt-on maple neck and maple fretboard, complete with PRS’s signature bird inlays. The 25.5" scale neck features 22 frets, the original 635JM profile, and an 8.5" fretboard radius, giving it a natural and immediately comfortable feel.
Plugged in, a trio of 635JM “S” single-coil pickups provide articulate response with plenty of bite and musical clarity. Hardware includes a two-point steel tremolo, a synthetic bone nut, and vintage-style tuners for smooth, reliable performance. Additional details include the distinctive inverted headstock design and a dual-acting truss rod, conveniently accessible from the front of the headstock.
The SE Silver Sky comes strung with Classic 10–46 strings and includes a gig bag for easy transport.
