Epiphone - Casino - Hollowbody Electric Guitar w/ Rosewood Fingerboard - Antique Natural - w/ Softshell Case

Epiphone’s most popular archtop and a rock ’n’ roll icon
One of the most famous guitars in the Epiphone lineup is the Casino. In no small part, this is due to the model’s association with and use by some of the biggest names in music, including all three guitarists of The Beatles, Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, Matthew Sweet, Paul Weller, Howlin’ Wolf, Noel Gallagher, Gary Clark Jr., Dave Davies, and many more. Since its introduction in 1961, the Casino has been a fan and player favorite, and it remains the best-selling Epiphone thinline archtop model and a rock ’n’ roll icon.

The lightweight, fully hollow body is crafted from layered five-ply maple/poplar/maple. The Casino is exceptionally resonant and rich in sound due to its hollow body, trapeze tailpiece, and deep-set neck, which optimizes the bridge location. The mahogany neck is glued to the body and joins it at the 16th fret, just like it does on vintage Casinos. The neck features a rosewood fretboard for a premium playing feel. The fretboard has 22 medium jumbo frets and is adorned with mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. The sloped Dovewing headstock features Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners and a GraphTech® nut for reliable, stable tuning. The other ends of the strings pass over a Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, ensuring precise intonation.

A pair of Dogear P-90 PRO™ pickups gives the Casino its voice. Each is wired to individual volume and tone controls and selected with a three-way toggle switch, delivering all the tonal richness and versatility the model is known for. Everything from bright, jangly clean tones to raspy growls and snarling overdrive is easily achieved with the right settings on the guitar and amp. Yes, a Casino will feed back when pushed past its limits, so it is not an ideal choice for ultra-high gain tones in high-volume environments, but the feedback potential is a notable part of the Casino’s appeal; it can be surprisingly easy to control, even with a generous helping of gain, through the use of some palm and fretting hand muting, delivering musical, singing sustain that feels alive and responsive under your fingers—the Casino can deliver controlled feedback and singing sustain in ways most other guitars can’t match. For rock, blues, Americana, 60s pop, country, jazz, and more, the Casino is a fantastic guitar choice. Along with its close cousin, the Gibson ES-330, the Casino is considered by many players the ideal “couch guitar” because it can be played and enjoyed acoustically without plugging in. The Epiphone Casino comes packed in a gig bag, so it’s ready to go whenever you are. Isn’t it time you found out for yourself why so many legendary musicians have chosen this rock ’n’ roll icon? Order today, and discover the many charms of the Casino and what it can do for your music.
