Description
Crafted during the prime of Fenders late-1990s production, this 1997 Telecaster Plus Version 2 in rich Antique Burst stands as a highly desirable and versatile iteration of the iconic Tele design. Distinct from its early-90s predecessor, the V2 model features a traditional Telecaster layout elevated by a trio of Fender Lace Sensor pickupsa Blue in the neck, a Silver in the middle, and a Red in the bridgeoffering a ultra-quiet, wide-ranging tonal array. The solid body showcases a beautiful high-gloss Antique Burst finish over its contoured top and back, accented by multi-ply binding and a smooth maple neck with a comfortable modern profile.
Dynamically flexible, this Telecaster Plus V2 excels at everything from glassy, articulate single-coil clean tones to thick, screaming humbucker-like sustain, thanks to its specialized switching configuration that allows for classic Tele twang as well as rich, strat-like notch positions. The hardware includes a sturdy six-saddle bridge for precise intonation and reliable tuning stability, making it as much a gigging workhorse as it is a modern classic for collectors. This guitar remains in great shape for its era and comes paired with its original hard shell case for optimal protection and vintage authenticity.
