Packing more than double the power of a standard Stratocaster single-coil, Quarter Pound pickups turn any Strat into a bold, aggressive tone machine. They deliver a thick, punchy sound with plenty of shimmering highs. These high-output pickups make chords sound full and commanding, while single notes leap out with clarity and presence like no other. Each pickup uses hand-polished ¼-inch Alnico 5 magnets, adding brilliant top-end sparkle and rich upper-mid harmonics that define their unique character.
The middle pickup is reverse-wound/reverse-polarity (RW/RP) for hum-free performance in positions 2 and 4. Both the neck/bridge and middle pickups are also available in a tapped version, giving you access to both vintage and high-output tones in one set. Every bobbin is hand-built, lacquer-dipped, then wound and wax-potted to eliminate squeal. Modern oval Forbon flatwork ensures these Quarter Pound pickups fit any guitar routed for single coils.
