Solid figured Hawaiian koa forms the back, sides and top of this gorgeous Grand Auditorium, yielding a bold, articulate midrange and splashy, refined trebles. Scalloped V-Class interior bracing ensures warmer lows and louder projection, while maintaining the sustain and pitch accuracy of our foundational V-Class design. Koa is also famous for its aging properties and will open up with play over time to reveal greater depth and sweetness. Comfort-enhancing features include an armrest, beveled cutaway, and chamfered body and fretboard edges. An array of paua details—including a single-ring rosette, Spring Vine inlays and body trim—are enriched by a gloss-body finish and hand-sprayed Kona Burst. With Volume, Mid-Contour and Tone controls, the onboard Claria pickup system makes it easier for players to shape their amplified sound for a wide variety of live performance settings.
